With six months experience of Donald Trump in the White House, it’s reasonable to take a look at what he’s done to fulfill his promise to “make some great deals” for America. Let’s review the record.
Now he is threatening to “sabotage Obamacare”, with measures likely to drive most folks insurance premiums much higher.
Not content with this, Trump also put folks in charge of the very agencies they oppose, thus “turning foxes loose in the chicken coop” to work their mischief – in education, environment, energy, and human services.
Seems like the swamp just got a lot deeper and murkier.
Likewise, by deciding – against the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence and mounting climate disasters here and abroad – that climate change is not real, Trump has taken the U.S. out of the race to develop more efficient and environmentally responsible products that the world increasingly needs and demands.
Meanwhile, he has engaged in a childish exchange of insults with a similarly immature, unstable leader in North Korea. This would almost be laughable if both nations didn’t have nuclear weapons.

In short, the six month scorecard for Donald Trump yields impressively dismal results.
Meanwhile, for the working folks who voted for him, ask yourselves: what has he done for you? He may have channeled anger with his petulant tweets. Yet he hasn’t advanced a single major initiative to improve the income of workers, OR better assure their health care, OR improve public education, OR meaningfully expand our job base: some of the big things most Americans worry about.
But this really should come as no surprise. After all, Donald Trump’s nature is to promise things he has no intention of delivering. Ask the victims of his phony Trump University, or of his six bankruptcies, or even of his three marriages. They’ll tell you that Trump is, and always had been, concerned about only one thing: the well-being of Donald Trump.
So unless you’re a billionaire or somehow attached to the Trump family, don’t hold your breath waiting for good news.
